You see, they don't actually have eyes, nor do they have a mouth, so they cannot eat. But like all living things, they need food to survive. You don't mind sharing with them, don't you? In real life, the cestoda looks nothing like this; the eyes are actually bothridia ("suction cups"), and those teeth are actually outward-curving hooks... both of which are used by the cestoda to latch onto their host! They take nutrients from those they inhabit...
