Originals are able to compel regular vampires and are significantly faster and stronger than them. They can also rip out the heart of anyone who tries to fight them. Due to being the first bloodline of Vampires, Original Vampires are indestructible and cannot be killed by anything on earth aside from the White Oak Stake. 

If cured of their vampirism, both brothers will unlock their innate ability to use magic. In their witch form, both brothers have access to powerful spells such as Delfan eoten Cor.
