Found in 1916, The National Parks Service is the primary agency tasked with the preservation, protection and education of federal parks in the United States. With both humanitarian and law enforcement positions, rangers of the NPS have a range of jobs from land management to upholding U.S. Law.

Law Enforcement Rangers will be responsible for patrolling federal parks, overseeing tours and camp sites, preventing smuggling, substance possession, poaching and illicit activities; all LERs are armed and highly trained as federal agents of the United States of America.
