The Egyptian Kingdom was referred to as the Ptolemaic Kingdom from 305 BC to 30 BC. While ancient Egypt was founded around 3100 BC, the Ptolemaic Kingdom thrived for over two centuries due to the Ptolemaic Dynasty, which was founded by Ptolemy I soon after Alexander the Great conquered Egypt.
