The National Park Service (NPS) is responsible for maintaining national parks, monuments and other conservative and or historical properties. Since it's inception in 1916, the National Park Service has strived to protect America's natural resources and beauty, as well as protect those who wish to enjoy it.

Preserving unimpaired and untouched lands for future generations to come is the duty and mission of the United States National Park Service.
