The Peninsular War began with the French war-machine tearing through Iberia in a convoluted betrayal of its former collaboration state Spain. The dissolution of their dynasty was hasty, and the nation fell even faster, leaving nothing but the puppet of France on the throne in Madrid.

Portugal will not suffer the same fate. The Braganzas will remain in power, and the kingdom will endure so long as the patriotism and willingness of her people wave in the face of the Napoleonic threat.
