The United States Army Air Force was originally named the United States Army Air Corps until 1941 when it was revised. When you join the group you are given the option of the role you wish to trail, you will then be trained for the role. You get trained to fly certain types of Planes and have a role on one whether it's Pilot, Bombardier, Navigator, Radio Operator, Aerial Gunner, Crew Chief, Ground Crew and many more roles that the United States Army Air Force gives to.
