The New South Wales Police Force is the primary law enforcement agency of the state of New South Wales, Australia, covering an area of 801,600 square kilometres with a population of more than 8.1 million people. NSWPF was formed in 1862 with metropolitan areas in NSW being divided into Police Area Commands (PACs) as well as Police Districts (PDs) for regional and country areas.
