Marine 1st Defense Battalion

The First Defense Battalion was a U.S. Marine garrison stationed on Wake Island. The garrison achieved the first American victory of World War II by repelling an initial Japanese naval assault. Their determined defense earned Wake Island the nickname "the Alamo of the Pacific." However, this early success was short-lived; a second, more formidable Japanese invasion followed, and with no relief force arriving from Pearl Harbor, the garrison was eventually overwhelmed, but their story lives on.

Based off the Battle of Wake Island during the Second World War, we strive to aim for a realistic battle experience and give light to the early days of American involvement of World War 2
