Known as a minor clan during the Sengoku Jidai period, the clan descended from the son of Emperor Kammu. The Ryūketsuo Clan is a proud clan supporting Emperor Shimazu Tadatsune, and proud protectorates of Hojo Akamoto. They have held Iyo province for centuries and have not faulted.
