The Galactic Empire, formerly known as the Galactic Republic, was the galactic government lead and founded by Sheev Palpatine in 19 BBY. It would serve as a galactic wide ruler that lead by fear, intimidation and tyranny. With it's military forces, starfleet's and vast technology, Palpatine's regime seemed unstoppable.
