The Mayflower Law Enforcement Training Institute was officially organized in June of 1956 with the introduction of the Office of the Director for the Mayflower Law Enforcement Training Institute into the cabinet of the State of Mayflower. The Mayflower Law Enforcement Training Institute is responsible for the licensing and certification of all law enforcement officers in the State of Mayflower, alongside establishing standards for law enforcement. In December of 1993, the Mayflower Law Enforcement Training Institute had consolidated all law enforcement academies in the State of Mayflower, and now operates a state-wide academy that all prospective law enforcement officers in the State of Mayflower must attend for licensing and certification. Today, the Mayflower Law Enforcement Training Institute acts as the state-level law enforcement standards, training, and licensing agency of the State of Mayflower.
