New York New Haven & Hartford Railroad

While the group was founded in 2015, the real New Haven can date back to 1872. Founded as a merger, the New Haven Railroad was one of the major pioneers in modern railroad technology.  Some of their advancements included electric locomotives powered by catenary wires, piggyback transportation, and dual mode locomotives.  The railroad did well for its time as a common carrier with freight and passenger trains within the southern New England region.  As for many railroads in the northeast, the automobile, airplane, and trucks did their toll on rail transportation.  In 1961, the railroad was under bankruptcy and lasted a few more years before ending up merged with the Pen Central Railroad.  The Roblox group is based on the portion of track between Middleborough MA and Hyannis MA.  The game is currently operational, but only opens on certain days and certain times.
