The Greek Hoplites

	Kalimera and welcome to our stratos. This is an army that's seen it's fair share of wars, and not every soldier can tell you about every war. There are troops who aren't here now, and troops just as good who are. The archons of this stratos are informal more often than not; but don't expect an easy time here. You'll get dirty, bloody, and roughed up. You'll feel frustrated, tired, and exhuasted. That's army life. But the difference here is that your leaders are going to be struggling along with you.

	If you're willing to struggle with us, we'll welcome you as our comrade, as our brother or sister. But this has to be your commitment. Don't be here half-heartedly. Be here, not in two places. I say this not as a warning to keep you in line,but as a courtesy: You don't want to be torn between conflicting loyalties.
