During the '80s, New York City was a city full of diverse cultures and people - as well as a bustling music scene. However, the city was deeply affected by deindustrialization and neglect from local officials. As a result, the city was plagued by poverty, crime, and corruption, with some of the highest murder rates in the nation and world. As a result, the NYPD is needed more now than ever to keep what remains of the peace in this lawless and raw city.
