The Confederacy of Independent Systems is the government and separatist movement formed from various planetary and sectorial governments that declared intentions to leave the Galactic Republic, refusing to comply with its excessive taxation and corruption in the Senate during the Separatist Crisis. The Separatist cause continues to expand through the power of the Separatist Droid Army lead by General Grievous.
