In 1991, several of the world’s top-qualified archeologists conducted an expedition to Bukhara, Asia, to unearth the fossil of a new species of Dromaeosaurid.

Rather than finding the fossil they anticipated, they unearthed the remains of an unknown beast composed of having the skeletal structure of a lion and the skull of an Eagle.

The fossil was brought to a lab for analysis and was confirmed to be the remains of a Griffin, a mythological creature. With the condition being incredibly well preserved and in light of recent technology, there was the potential of redeeming this creature from its extinction.

With permission and revenue from the United Nations, the project to locate the remains and rehabilitate creatures from greek mythology was approved, resulting in the formation of Orion Bionomics.
