In the year 2035, following a brutal Civil War in what was formerly the United Mexican States, the Willful Unification Agreement was signed by the United States of America, the United Mexican States, and later the Canadian Federation, merging the three countries into a single dominant Superpower. This Superpower, known as the North American Empire, is governed by three separate regional governments, overseen by the Imperial Government.
