The Pine Creek railroad was founded in 1952 along side a road in NJ then in 1962 they moved down to Allaire state park in Farmingdale NJ. they started off with steam. The steam engines featured are SS&SRY 2-6-2 No. 26, Lady Edith No.3 4-4-0 Irish locomotive. and finally Ely Thomas Lumber Co Shay locomotive No. 6. diesel started arriving at the railroad in the early 70s with many diesel switchers. as of today the pine creek railroad still lives on but only operating diesel power. steam is unknown to return as of right now. this version of pine creek is the 1990s when every piece of equipment was at the railroad. i hope you enjoy your stay and ride our rails and enjoy the nice scenic ride.
