The tar within has long since drained the life from an entire world, leaving behind only echoes of its once formidable power. The jar is a remnant of an age of desperation and ruin, when the land was stripped of every shred of vitality. Aphelia, a deity born of consumption, struck a pact with a forlorn survivor, granting him power and undeath in exchange for spreading her influence. Together, they wandered the desolate plains, consuming all in their path.
