This branch, chosen in a moment of vulnerability, was now to become part of a greater tool of cosmic balance."

The word "fade", inscribed in Enochian upon the blade, seemed to pulse with a dark light.  The scythe did not merely end lives but began to drain the very vitality of its surroundings—the land, the air, even Aeon himself. The birch handle, now black as the deepest night, symbolized the irreversible path Aeon had taken: from guardian of balance to harbinger of an endless cycle of destruction.
