A wooden mask carved in the image of a young woman... There are many types of Noh masks, well over 200 different kinds in fact! This mask in particular was created in the image of the Onna-kei variants (female masks), more specifically the Ko-omote which represents a young woman! These masks were used in Noh theatre, a major form of classical Japanese dance-drama that has been performed since the 14th century!
