Roman "Bronze Von Grawert" Helmet

"Tranquillo orbis statu et in gremio altissimae quietis locato, etiampads bonis, propter quam sudore largo laboratum est." - Diocletian

The "Niederbieber" style of helmet was introduced in the late 2nd Century AD, with it and its variants becoming the most iconic look for soldiers during the 3rd Century Crisis. These helmets, though protective, serverely limited head movement and vision of the soldier. As such, this helmet did not survive more than a century, as the eastern-styled "Ridge" helmets began to introduce themselves in the late 3rd Century.
